Responsibilities

The Lead EHR Technician is the subject matter expert in the method of collecting, assessing and processing of patient documentation in the medical record. The role will provide insight into the application of knowledge to process, store, retrieve, review, assess, and process health-related information in both paper format and electronic format. This person serves as a resource... for all members of patient care teams and leadership to improve medical record documentation that allow for accurate medical record practices compliant with applicable Federal, State and Accreditation guidelines. The work done by the Lead EHR Technician supports and contributes to the assessment of quality standards for ePHI processing and reports deficiencies to the appropriate leadership.
• *This position has the opportunity to work from home. You may be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility or be able to come to a Norton Healthcare facility for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana**

Qualifications

Required:
• Three years health information management

Desired:
• Two years health information management
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree
