Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated full stack software developer to join our dynamic and growing organization. They will be responsible for the technical direction of projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring product quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who can provide innovative solutions to complex development challenges.

You will be part of a team that designs and supports the future of the North American Freight and Passenger Railroad Market. Your tasks will include developing mission-critical systems that form the backbone of technologies like network optimization and an autonomous rail network. Your daily activities will cover all aspects of requirements engineering, design, development, documentation, V&V, support, and software maintenance services for these systems.

What your day-to-day will look like:
? Develop software.
? Execute software (unit and integration) tests.
? Mentor junior developers in the team to ensure best practices are implemented and followed.
? Perform code and design reviews for the team.
? Write design specifications and manuals for components being developed by the team.

To Thrive in This Role, You Have:
? 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering within an Agile environment, including analyzing information, software debugging, software documentation, software testing, problem-solving, and teamwork.
? An analytical mind with strong problem-solving aptitude.
? Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate the team.
? Experience with event-driven, service-based, and cloud-native architecture and design.
? Proficiency in Java, including JavaFX.
? Experience with JUnit and mocking frameworks (e.g., Mockito).
? Experience with Angular and/or React.
? Experience with AMQP.
? Proficiency with Git.
? Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
? Experience in an agile environment.
? Experience in estimating software development efforts.
? A deep understanding of complex software topics such as multithreading and asynchronous inter-process communication.

? Experience with Industrial Control Systems
? Experience with RabbitMQ
? Experience with PostgreSQL
? Experience with Python and C++
? Experience in the Railroad Domain

The base salary range for this position in Munhall, PA or Jacksonville, FL is $100,100 - $117,600. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
