The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking dedicated individuals to join as Law Enforcement Officers. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of the Bank's facilities and employees. Officers will undergo rigorous training and will be responsible for providing 24/7 protection, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with federal law enforcement protocols. Responsibilities
• Provide protection for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and its employees.
,
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols and man surveillance posts in all weather conditions.
,
• Inspect and observe all persons and vehicles entering the facilities; field interview unauthorized individuals.
,
• Respond to emergencies and threats to Bank personnel and facilities, exercising good judgment in life and safety issues.
,
• Operate security screening equipment including video surveillance, alarms, and metal detectors.
,
• Perform building patrols for safety or security violations and report findings to command staff.
,
• Develop and maintain proficiency in weapons, first aid, CPR, and firefighting techniques through training classes.
,
• Carry firearms and make arrests for offenses against the United States.
,
• Attend training to meet physical and classroom training requirements annually.
,
• Prepare logs and input information pertaining to incidents and daily activity reports.

Requirements
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
,
• Two years of law enforcement or military experience preferred.
,
• Ability to complete a rigorous physical and academic training program at the Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Academy.
,
• Willingness to work a 24/7 schedule, including varied hours and overtime.
,
• Ability to obtain and maintain firearms proficiency.
,
• Possess a valid unrestricted motor vehicle driver license and proficient driving skills.
,
• Demonstrate integrity, courage, accountability, respect, and excellence.
,
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting in high-stress situations.

Nice-to-haves
