About the position

The Teller I position at Shell Federal Credit Union involves engaging with members to complete financial transactions and promote products and services that enhance their financial lives. The role requires adherence to service commitments and compliance with regulations, while providing friendly and professional service to all members.

Responsibilities
?Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments, Employee Creed, and Service Distinctions.

?Maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
,
?Complete annual training sessions as scheduled.
,
?Perform job duties in compliance with Shell FCU policies and standards of performance.
,
?Provide friendly, professional, and personal service to all members.
,
?Process member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
,
?Negotiate checks, process cash advances, Western Union transactions, and coin tickets.
,
?Prepare CTR & SAR worksheets as required.
,
?Understand Shell FCU practices to help identify and prevent fraud.
,
?Handle cash and balance cash drawer daily, investigating and resolving out-of-balance conditions immediately.
,
?Assist members with service needs such as change of address, issuing debit cards, and check orders.
,
?Cross-sell Credit Union products and services based on member needs.
,
?Comply with procedures related to logs, including dual control and buy/sells from the vault.
,
?Assist with problem solving and troubleshooting in all areas of the branch as needed.
,
?Meet or exceed personal and branch goals.
,
?Assist the team with daily responsibilities, including following opening and closing procedures and daily balancing of machines.
,
?Willing to assist at other branch locations if needed.
,
?Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
?Six months of cash handling experience preferred, ideally in Credit Union/Banking or retail.
,
?High school diploma or GED required.
,
?Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
,
?Welcoming and helpful demeanor.
,
?Professional verbal communication skills.
,
?Basic computer skills and proficiency with a ten-key calculator.
,
?Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail.
,
?Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential.
,
?Ability to work in an open-concept workspace.
