Network Engineer
Brava is seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer to join our Managed Services Engineering team. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing and maintaining Brava? network infrastructure, ensuring seamless and reliable connectivity across its diverse platforms and systems. The role demands proactive individual with a robust technical background and a keen interest for staying updated on emerging networking technologies.
Major Duties
?Network Infrastructure Design: Working with internal teams and vendors to design and develop the network infrastructure to support Brava? Connect and cloud-based products.
?Installation Support: Assist Brava? sales team in any pre-sales capacity to ensure business customer needs are accomplished. Assist with the configuration and installation of Brava Synergy and cloud-based products. Offer technical guidance and assistance to remote network specialists.
?Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Optimization: Monitoring network and cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot issues to find root cause and collaborate with vendors to resolve complex issues and optimize performance.
?Collaboration: Providing technical guidance to product development and operations during the development and implementation of Brava? product roadmap.
?Security: Ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices and implementing robust security measures to protect data, systems and resources.
?Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of network designs, procedures, and best practices. Develop and deliver training materials and user guides to educate support teams and end-users.
?Stay Current: Keeping up to date with current and emerging vendor platforms (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, AWS, Azure and GCP) and services and provide leadership and strategic guidance on optimizing cloud infrastructure to support business growth. Pursue and maintain relevant vendor cloud engineering certifications.
Knowledge and Experience:
?A bachelor? degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
?5+ year? working as a network engineer with strong understanding of networking concepts, and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, WI-FI, DHCP) and technologies (e.g. SD-WAN, MPLS and VOIP).
?Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, BGP routing, switching, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure and GCP).
?Proficiency for configuring and managing routers switches and network security devices (Fortinet, ASA, Cisco ISE).
?Knowledge of transport/network design techniques and standards and experience in creating technical architecture documentation.
