Vice President, Software Engineering
The Vice President (VP) of Engineering will report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) responsible for the product development for multiple products in directing and coordinating the end-to-end product
development strategy with a strong software engineering background, experience in managing large global teams and requiring a wide variety of leadership and technical skills.This role is for a leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about people, and can drive both technical excellence and business impact. Key Requirements:
-Build and nurture a world-class engineering team by focusing on talent attraction, retention, and career development to grow a high-performing engineering team.
-Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging AI tools like Copilot to enhance productivity.
-Implement clear career paths based on meritocracy, ensuring measurable success and removing velocity blockages etc.,
-Oversee engineering processes for integrating new teams from mergers and acquisitions into our workflows.
-Identify emerging trends in engineering, technologies, and opportunities to lead product teams in shaping and launching innovative solutions that address government challenges and create meaningful solutions to Granicus Customers
-Work with product management team in identifying customer requirements and focus to develop and deliver new product and services demands that enhance Granicus??? market position and create significant revenue growth opportunities
-Influence and shape the Engineering culture where engineer values are clear, are embraced and create a great place for engineers to grow, contribute and be happy in a team-focused environment.
-Act as an ambassador for Software Engineering Team, ensuring alignment with other senior leadership members across Product, Support, Implementation, Finance etc.,
-Foster clear communication between Engineering and other business functions to improve collaboration and project success.
-Provide strategic input on company-wide initiatives, ensuring engineering efforts align with business objectives.
-Drive collaboration across departments to ensure unified messaging and strategic alignment on go-to-market (GTM) initiatives.
-Work closely with senior leadership team to synchronize technology deployment and customer engagement efforts.
-Help support successful execution of product launches into the marketplace to include, and monitors project progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
-Influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of strategic programs, including enabling key brand ambassadors on the Granicus story and messaging
-Establish frameworks for measuring the impact of strategic initiatives and communicating results to the organization.
-Support revenue enablement organizational wide, helping sales, presales and customer success teams identify how to implement new selling motions for new product launches
-Communicate complex engineering concepts concisely, making data-driven recommendations to executive stakeholders.
-Drive operational efficiency and profitability within the engineering organization, ensuring speed to value in product development.
-Optimize development processes to deliver high-quality software at scale, improving time-to-market.
-Develop and track key engineering metrics that highlight team performance and bottlenecks.
