Key Responsibilities
?? Assess and manage a diverse array of commercial insurance applications, making informed decisions to accept or decline risks in alignment with established guidelines.
?? Cultivate expertise in our commercial products, pricing strategies, and coverage specifics; confidently apply your understanding of underwriting guidelines and authority levels.
?? Foster and maintain robust relationships within our agency network through effective communication and negotiation, including regular on-site visits to designated agencies.
?? Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, assisting in the development of new hires, trainees, and technicians.
?? Leverage technology and innovation to enhance operational efficiency and pursue continuous professional development that aligns with our organizational objectives.
Required Skills
?? Bachelor??s Degree, formal insurance education, or equivalent professional experience.
?? 5-8 years of proven success in commercial lines underwriting, demonstrating a consistent track record in fostering growth and building agency relationships.
?? Relevant designations such as Associate in Underwriting (AU) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
?? Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for delivering compelling presentations.
?? Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the capacity to operate independently.
?? Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, including some overnight trips.
Qualifications
