The Product Owner for Retail and ETL at Cognizant is a remote position focused on managing the product backlog for a team specializing in data warehouse and ETL processes. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory retail business analysis, responsible for defining user stories, prioritizing the backlog, and ensuring the technical integrity of solutions. The Product Owner collaborates closely with the Product Manager and team members to drive product increments and align the team's work with the overall product vision and roadmap.
Responsibilities
Define Team Product Backlog of User Stories including backlog prioritization, refinement, and creation of acceptance criteria.

Make decisions around the team backlog with autonomy.

Partner with the Product Manager to understand priorities and PI features.
,
Drive Iteration Goals and content via prioritized user stories.
,
Act as the Product Domain authority to guide and inform product enhancements and efficiencies.

Ensure the technical integrity of the solution and accept User Stories and Iteration Increments.

Conduct impact analysis for optimal product delivery and industry trends.
,
Contribute to the Vision Roadmap and ROI, ensuring alignment of the team's backlog to the roadmap.

Act as the Customer for Teams, liaising between the business and team.

Identify and handle team risks and dependencies.
,
Collaborate with the System Architect to prioritize Enablers.
,
Accountable for identifying risks, scope tradeoffs, and timeline impacts.
,
Use metrics to assess team progress and areas for improvement.
,
Leverage Agile processes such as Story and Value Stream Mapping and Estimating using Fibonacci scale.

Support DevOps and Security standard processes.
,
Prepare and produce the system demo, attending and participating in Release Train Ceremonies and Team Agile Ceremonies.
Requirements
10 to 13 years of experience in Data Warehouse and ETL.

Proficient knowledge of SAFe principles, Kanban, and Scrum.
,
Experience in business analysis within the retail sector.
,
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
SAFe PO/PM or SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
