Business Process Architect

The Business Process Architect is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of business processes on our process orchestration platform. They work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, ensure process standardization, improve process efficiency, and drive digital transformation initiatives that align with Baird’s business objectives. They are a strategic technology thinker that has a deep understanding of process design, automation, orchestration, and data-driven decision making. This role will include an influential leadership component, mentoring and coaching team members, delivering across multiple teams, leading complex changes, and influence at the executive level. Areas of Focus: Platform Orchestration and Automation Responsible for process standardization, policy creation and adherence. Review process design to ensure performance, scalability and reusability. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement new processes. Ensure seamless coordination between processes and optimize resource utilization. Leverage our process orchestration/automation suite to design and manage workflows. Integrate multiple systems and data sources to facilitate end to end process automation. Ensure all processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal controls, and mitigate any risks associated with process changes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating the effectiveness of current processes, recommending enhancements, and implementing process changes to meet evolving business needs. Data Analysis and Process Intelligence Use process intelligence tools to monitor process performance, analyze data, and derive actionable insights that help inform process improvement and re-engineering efforts. Leverage the data derived from the output of the process monitoring to inform decisions ti improve operational efficiency. Leadership Exhibit extensive knowledge of business process automation standards and techniques. Act as a technical and process subject matter expert. Mentor delivery teams in process design and technical skill development. Remain up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure processes remain effective and relevant. Collaboration and Communication Engage with business teams, IT, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, align process changes with business goals, and communicate the impact of proposed solutions. Manage relationships with business partners, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Partner with technical leaders of our third-party vendors. What We Look For: A minimum of seven years of relevant experience. and a proven record of delivering substantial business results. Experience should be in process design, process architecture, or a similar role in process orchestration, automation, or workflow management. BBA/BS in Management Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Computer Science is preferred. Proficiency with process orchestration and automation platforms, preferably Appian and Automation Anywhere. Experience with automation technologies and process intelligence tools. Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification (or higher) required, or willingness to obtain. Strong understanding of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and Decision Modeling Notation (DMN). Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex problem solving. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, monitor, and complete multiple tasks or projects, either independently or collaboratively within a team. Excellent people skills with a focus on building trusting relationships with business partners and their leadership team. Seasoned relationship builder that establishes both internal and external working relationships to identify and implement strategies for business growth.
