About the position

As a Hybrid Inside Property Adjuster Trainee at Allstate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately. This position emphasizes a strong focus on water losses, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims. You will interact with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration, utilizing multiple communication channels including voice calls, email, and text messages. In this role, you will embody several key functions. As a Customer Service Expert, you will uphold Allstate's Claims Culture by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each property claim. You will lead with empathy, ensuring that policyholders feel supported throughout the claims process. As an Investigator, you will independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. Your role as an Effective Communicator will involve using various communication methods to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, while also keeping them updated on the progress of their claims. Additionally, you will act as a Negotiator, evaluating and negotiating claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, adhering to all legal and business standard methodologies. Your problem-solving skills will be essential as you utilize multiple tools to navigate a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of your work in a claims system. The training program is designed to help you build a solid foundation in claims handling, with ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement. This position requires you to work in a hybrid model during training, with specific in-office days and remote work days. After training, you will transition to a fully remote role, with occasional weekend duties. You will be expected to secure any necessary licenses within 60 days of hire, and you may be eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus if you possess the applicable active licenses needed for this role.

Requirements
?? 1+ years of previous customer service experience required.

?? Previous industry experience is highly desired.

?? Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments is preferred.

?? Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage.
,
?? Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely.

?? Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment.
,
?? Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient claim resolutions.

?? Must be located within Nassau and Suffolk counties.
