Overview
• This position is fully remote but requires you to reside in California at the time of hire.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Sr. Benefits Analyst leads and manages the administration of complex employee benefits programs. This role is pivotal in strategic analysis, program design, and policy development. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will work closely with management to enhance benefits programs, ensure compliance, and drive improvements. Additionally, this position will mentor Benefits Analysts and provide expert guidance on benefits-related matters.

Key Responsibilities: • Oversee retirement and health & welfare plan compliance • Manage self-funded insurance plans • Coordinate with vendors and service providers

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5-years of experience in benefits administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.

Required Experience:
• In-depth knowledge of benefits administration, program design, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HRIS systems and benefits software.
• Proven experience managing multiple retirement plans (401k, 403b, 457b).
• Expertise in 5500 audits and IRS filings (1095-C, 1094-C, 720).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across HR teams and our business partners.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in operating within organizations with over 5,000 employees.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and presentation of materials required.
• Comfort presenting to team members and leadership.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience in benefits strategy and program management.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred:
• Master's degree
• Certification such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Pay Scale Information

$76,128.00 -$137,030.40

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
