What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists
• Implement treatment plans and select modalities to meet established rehabilitation goals
• Assist patients with mobility, dressing, and toileting needs while ensuring their safety and comfort
• Arrange and manage patient schedules for timely visit arrivals and report any delays
• Maintain, care for, and clean equipment and supplies used in therapy sessions
What is Required (Qualifications):
• Occupational Therapy Assistant certification: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Associate's/Technical Degree in occupational therapy or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Two years of rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education: Preferred
• One year's occupational therapy experience: Preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of occupational therapy
• Experience in home health or hospice settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
