Start Date: October/November 2024
Location: Work from home
Scheduling: A minimum of 10 hours per week from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am ET - 11:00 pm ET
Students: You will teach adult students (private and or group classes) that are based predominantly in the US, Brazil, and Latin America
Remuneration: Set base rate from 5.5 - 5.9 USD per hour
You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider
Requirements
Native Spanish speaker
Bilingual (Spanish and must be able to speak conversational English B1 level)
Minimum of 1-year experience teaching Spanish as a second language
DELE/ ELE (Diploma/Certificado de Español como Lengua Extranjera / Diploma/Certificate of Spanish as a Foreign Language) completed / or a degree in Linguistics, Education, Spanish, Modern Languages or Literatures completed or in progress at an accredited institution of higher education
Online experience preferred
Highly computer literate
High degree of professionalism
Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
No criminal record
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
PC specifications
Processor: Intel ® Core i5 CPU @2.0GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
A stable fibre internet connection
At a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds
PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera. Back-up headset is highly recommended
Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
