Compliance Analyst I, AFX - BPO - BPX

Business & Product Operations (BPO) is a diverse team that supports... infrastructure and other foundational initiatives that span and support Sales, Marketing and Support teams within AWS.

BPO needs a creative, dynamic and results driven business intelligence professional who wants to build and create the data and metrics framework that will support Private Pricing globally. This role is a critical part of the team that is launching the latest services into the market and ensuring that our customers get to experience our full range of products first hand before they buy. This job requires a strong sense of ownership and ability to deal with ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compliance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing work across the Business and Product Operations (BPO) team. This includes reviewing internal controls, documentation, reviewing individual work, and contribute to developing tools that cut down on auditing time.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and assessments of financial reporting processes, internal controls, and compliance
  • Analyze data, identify risks and issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve quality
  • Document audit findings and maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and monitor SOX controls
    Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a compliance, audit, or internal controls role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, VBA nice to have)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight)
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles and best practices
