Required Qualifications

• The position requires:


• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Dance.


• The Dean can submit a faculty alternative credential application if the applicant has at least ten years of professional experience in dance.

• This is to fill part-time adjunct faculty positions on the Ybor City campus.

• Prefer applicants with a master's degree as well as previous teaching experience and professional dance experience.

• The College is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters.


• Applications will remain actively on file for one year.


• To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and/or qualifying graduate semester hours.


• If you are selected for a screening interview for an adjunct faculty position, you must bring an official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from the educational institution to the interview.


• Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org).

• To complete your application, you must attach a copy of your graduate academic transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications.


• Do not send official transcripts to the College unless specifically asked to do so at a later date. You can scan your transcript(s) and attach to the application.

• Adjunct faculty is compensated at $75.00 per instructional point (based on the number of assigned load points).


• No distinction is made for advanced degrees and pay is calculated based on actual classes taught (the load points).

• One laboratory contact hour or one clinical contact hour generates 8 load points.
